About This Heatmap
What is a Bitcoin liquidation heatmap?
A liquidation heatmap plots forced liquidations of leveraged futures positions on a price-versus-time grid. Every cell aggregates the dollar value of positions that exchanges force-closed in that price band during that interval, so you can see exactly where leverage was wiped out.
How do I read it?
Time runs left to right, price runs bottom to top. Darker red cells mean more dollars liquidated in that price band at that time. The side panel adds every column up, showing which price levels absorbed the most liquidations in the whole window.
Why do liquidation clusters matter?
Price bands with dense liquidations mark where many traders had stops and margin limits. These zones often behave like magnets or short-term support and resistance, because market makers and large traders know liquidity was flushed there.
Where does the data come from?
All figures are aggregated in real time from public forced-liquidation orders on major derivatives exchanges, including Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget, Gate and others. Nothing on this page is simulated or estimated.
